The future of Hope For Kids

Hope for Kids (HFK) envisions a future in which countless vulnerable children are rescued from the streets and restored to lives of dignity, hope, and purpose through the redeeming power of Jesus Christ. As the ministry grows, HFK is committed to establishing multiple Hope Centers across Ethiopia to reach children in the greatest need, while upholding the highest standards of care, protection, and spiritual guidance.

At the heart of this vision is a strong focus on family-based care, empowering families and communities to provide safe, nurturing, and God-centered environments whenever possible. Through holistic programs encompassing education, discipleship, life-skills training, and spiritual formation, HFK seeks to raise a generation of children who are Christ-centered, restored, educated, and God-fearing. These children are equipped not only to break the cycle of poverty but also to serve as agents of transformation—bringing hope, love, and positive change to their families, churches, communities, and society at large.

Guided by God’s provision and wisdom, HFK strives to create a lasting impact on the lives of children, nurturing them to grow in faith, resilience, and purpose so that they may reflect His glory and fulfill the calling He has placed upon their lives.

Our Second Center

The second Hope for Kids (HFK) center has been opened in Kombolcha town, Amhara region, fulfilling God’s vision to reach the countless street children in Ethiopia who face immense challenges due to poverty, civil unrest, political instability, and other hardships. Through the Lord’s guidance and provision, HFK is expanding its reach to offer hope, care, and a future to more vulnerable children.

This new center is designed to accommodate additional children and provide specialized care that addresses their unique physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. By increasing resources and programs, HFK seeks to strengthen its holistic approach—including education, vocational training, life skills, spiritual formation, and emotional support—so that every child may experience healing, restoration, and the transformative power of Christ Jesus in a safe and nurturing environment.

The Kombolcha Hope for Kids (HFK) center has been intentionally designed to provide a safe, nurturing, and God-centered environment for 50 resident children, while also extending support to 250 children through its community-based programs. The center’s residential program offers a structured and holistic approach, where children live in a caring and spiritually guided environment that promotes their physical, emotional, educational, and spiritual growth. Here, children receive daily supervision, access to quality education, vocational training, life skills development, and discipleship, enabling them to experience healing and restoration through the love of Christ.

The community-based program extends HFK’s reach to children who remain with their families or in their communities but are still at risk due to poverty, neglect, or other challenging circumstances. Through outreach initiatives, mentoring, tutoring, spiritual guidance, and material support, these children are empowered to grow in faith, hope, and practical skills, equipping them for a brighter future.

By thoughtfully balancing residential care and community outreach, the Kombolcha center embodies HFK’s mission to provide comprehensive support that transforms lives. Every intervention is rooted in God’s grace, aiming not only to meet the children’s immediate needs but also to plant seeds of faith, resilience, and salvation in Christ Jesus, so that they may flourish and become a testimony of God’s redeeming love.
