Life Story:

Helina was born in Mojo town. Her parents divorced when she was young, leaving her mother to raise six children alone. Life quickly became unbearable. With no steady income, her mother could not provide food, clothing, or education. Helina was forced onto the streets, begging for her daily needs. She hated begging — the shame, the rejection, and the hopelessness that came with it. Every day felt like a battle she could not win.

When Hope for Kids found her, Helina’s life changed completely. She joined the center, where she no longer begs for survival. She receives love, care, and education. She studies the Bible and feels surrounded by a family that values her. Helina now dreams of helping people in the future, especially children who suffer as she once did. Her story is one of freedom freedom from begging, freedom from hopelessness, and freedom to dream again.
